Fooled Ya!
Went to Border’s last night and came across the Twilight Saga section. Of course they have their own section. And while restraining myself from purchasing a pair of New Moon jammies, I came across this:

Stuck in between the book series on one shelf was: Pride & Prejudice, Romeo & Juliet, and Wuthering Heights, 3 epic novels that were referenced in the Twilight series. On the cover of Wuthering Heights it says, “Bella and Edward’s favorite book!” LMAO. So now I’m sure teens from all across the world will be scrambling to read this book when teens that were required to read it in their high school English Lit. class most likely wanted to burn it.
I, myself am more of a Great Gastby/Catcher in the Rye fan. But I just found it amusing that these practically legendary books were placed on a shelf next to Twilight as what I personally think is a marketing ploy. I mean dude. Check out the covers. If I wasn’t careful or not so Twi-hard and in a rush I may accidentally grab one thinking it was New Moon or something! Don’t get mad, I’m just playing Devil’s Advocate over here but I wonder if somewhere down the line schools will be required to read TWILIGHT lmao.
I think I just heard Shakespeare roll in his grave just now.

Well, yeah, I get the marketing point…
But really, I think it’s awesome that, because of the Twilight merchandise, people will actually read these books again not because they HAVE to.
I’m a huge Shakespeare lover myself, but I really don’t see what’s wrong with Twihards reading this. It’s as epic and awesome a love story as Twilight, if not more.
And I know I’ll be going to the WTForks-Hell for this sentence.

That’s ridiculous … but I can’t lie, I too like T.I. want to read Wuthering Heights now that I’ve read so much about it in the Saga. The good thing is I actually had a copy at my parents house that I had to fish out of my closet now turned my father’s closet. What can we say, the Saga is just pushing teens out there to read more. Gosh I wasn’t that big of a reader until I picked up the Saga, I definitely know I’ve never read a book four times before, let a lone a series.

You like the great gatsby?!?!?!?!! that’s one of the books I wanted to burn in high school! LOL
I think it’s great they’ve swagger jacked the twilight saga cover designs. I’m not into swagger jackering but it’s for a good cause. I hope it DOES get teens to read more
