What the Forks?!

sooo I JUST walked in the door from seeing new moon for the third time.  don’t judge me, some of you KNOW you saw it that many times too (or maybe more!)  I really can’t seem to get enough of it and i have a feeling i’ll see it a few more times before it leaves the theaters.  (once the DVD is up…well…my poor boyfriend can either endure it like edward in biology class or he can go watch tv in the other room.

so anyway!  here is my new moon review.

• eyebrows. What the forks is up with everyone’s eyebrows? Edwards look like bushes, Jacobs almost look to0 small, and Bellas are uneven.  (That apparently didn’t make a difference to me when I went at my face with a pair of tweezers and tried to get the Bella look.  Look’s like I’ll be drawing a little extra this month…oops.)

• My favorite scene was when Edward came to school on Bella’s birthday and then kissed her. However, every scene they kiss in definitely ranks wayy up there. (I can tell you where my least favorite was: in the kitchen. “hey Jacob, remove your lips from her lip before I come in there and smack you.”

• Don’t even get me started on Jacobs nose…

• Billy Burke- I FUCKING LOVE YOU! I swear you stole EVERY scene you were in!

• Rachelle – you are beautiful.

• The wolfpack is growing on me a little bit.  Chaske is tooo hot and when Alex says “sorry” I just want to pinch his cheeks.

• Rob Pattinson. That is all. (mmmmmm)

• and just a side note, when we walked out of the theater tonight it was SO foggy.  I kept saying ooooo maybe Edward will pop out of the trees!  (I’m so glad no one was out for a stroll where we were driving because I significantly creeped myself out…and I would have needed a pants change.)

On a more serious note, I thought the score was amazing.  There were some parts where I couldn’t help but think of Dracula type music, but in other parts the piano was so beautiful that I wanted more.  I need to find the new score for piano ASAP.  I also need to get my hands on the sound track!

I’m still not sure which color scheme I liked better, but I loved how they played with the colors for New Moon  making it more warm to go with with the whole Jacob being like his own personal sun thing.

I could keep going for hours, but I won’t.  I hands DOWN loved this movie! However, I’m aching for Eclipse.  It is my favorite next to Breaking Dawn and I’m just tooo excited for it!

I considered hiding my hideous fail of Bella eyebrows...but I'll leave it as a warning for you all. DO NOT TRY IT AT HOME!

to go along with my “what’s your favorite part?” post… i’ve decided to add my two cents for a proper review for you guys…

as some of you know, i scored an early screening ticket for the night before and ran into kimbra (hands of twilight) and one of the twilightmoms (whom you saw on regis lmao), both of whom i had met a while back at twicon in dallas.

anyway, back to my new moon review:

negatives-

• new moon wasn’t my favorite book, just as i expected, new moon the movie is not my favorite either
• there were still a lot of silent awkward moments and i was disappointed because there were even silent moments with bella and jacob when really, it should have been more interactive, happy, and lively! like in twilight!
• whattup with all the grunting kisses, i mean really, you guys are only making out, not dry humping
• the chemistry between bella and edward didn’t impact me as much as it did for me in twilight – did anyone else feel that too???
• didn’t really work for me how jacob got all pissy with mike out of no where… didn’t provide as much context for it to feel valid lol
• i was secretly hoping for the forks weather to be a bit less drabby since we were focusing more on jacob and stuff lol

positives/for fun:

• i was trying to find all of us WTFly ladies in the background scene with bella and jessica…. because yea, we were there lol
• billy burke – YOU ARE THE SHIT
• i love how jackson emphasized his southern accent – swwooooonnnn
• seriously? victoria’s scene with the wolves? with the song? OMG – BEST EVER.
• i did give it another shot and watched it online yesterday… and i’m taking my friend’s daughter to watch it this week too, so maybe i’ll find more things to like about it…
• edward’s fight scenes – FUCK YEA. way better than twilight – but why does he always seem like he really can’t defend bella for shit?

new moon week review:

• the week was very tiring… i was sick to top it all, but the party we held was fantastic!
• before our party, we went to the nyc red carpet and i was able to see rob, taylor and kstew =)
• i was also able to see kristen and rob at a bar with marcus foster… eye contact was definitely made (although i had to turn from marcus for fear he’d recognize me from our interview at twicon and then tell rob they would need to bail because he found a twihard at the bar lol)

mine is DEFINITELY the mike/bella/jacob movie scene and when victoria first encounters the wolfpack – GAH! thom yorke’s hearing damage song gives me the chills as victoria (we miss you rachelle!) runs through the forest with the wolves at her tail… DAMN GOOD edit job and sound check.

other than that… i’d have to admit – and don’t scrutinize me – i was not that big of a fan of this one… maybe its because i REALLY don’t find jacob all that appealing… the way he speaks kinda annoys me, but GDAMN i couldn’t get my eyes off his abs and “V” down there, if you know what i mean! =P
